I can still hear my old gymnastics coach Ed saying, “do your layout 21 times and it will become a habit.” He was right. In gymnastics, I found it true that if you commit to doing something perfect 21 times, your body will remember the correct form and position to do it that way every time.
That being said, when I saw Chelsea post on her fitness Instagram page (follow her here!) about a 21-Day Game Changer, I decided to listen to Ed’s voice inside my head. The goal of this game changer is to change your life to a healthier one by simply forming a habit.
Today marks day one of the challenge. I’ve meal prepped, printed out my workout routine, and given myself a lot of self-motivation. 😉
Each week, I’m going to try to follow a meal plan… but I’m doing it slowly so that I don’t give up. I’ll have a different goal each week and for this week it is to give up all drinks besides water and hot tea (I have to get a caffeine kick somehow!). This will be hard not to reach for a Coke, but I’m determined.
The best part about this challenge is that it’s not focused solely on numbers on your scale but rather things you hope to accomplish from this challenge such as: practicing good meal prep and following it, seeing definition in your arms/abs/hips/etc. and feeling better and more confident in your clothes!
Every Monday during the challenge I’ll be posting updates on how it’s going! So be sure to stop back 🙂 If you’re interested in joining or doing the 21 Day Game Changer, it’s only $21. That’s a great deal! Contact Chelsea for more information!
So tell me, how do you like to stay on track with healthy eating? How do you go to restaurants and still eat well? What’s your motivation to workout even after the day before was a killer?
Wish me luck!
